• The preservation of Terri’s frontal and temporal lobes indicate she may have had the ability to "think, react with appropriate emotions, memory, and hearing." Further brain damage may have been caused by dehydration and starvation.


• The autopsy did not provide information regarding whether or not "the preserved occipital lobe had taken over and whether there was macular sparing, allowing her to see up close."
