House Bill 701 has passed through the House Judiciary Committee and goes to the Health and Families Counsel tomorrow morning at 9.30 am.
Today's vote was 9-2.
Tallahassee Sun Sentinel -- Lawmakers proposed a measure Monday that would block doctors from denying food or water to someone in a persistent vegetative state with the intention of causing death, setting the stage to prevent the removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube on Friday.
The bills, if put on an expedited path, could come up for final votes in the House and Senate as early as Thursday.

An earlier version of the bill could have applied to all incapacitated people, not just those in a persistent vegetative state The change was intended to allay concerns that the proposed law (HB 701) could force people who thought they had denied such measures to undergo surgery to insert a feeding tube, said Rep. Dennis Baxley, R-Ocala, who sponsored the bill.

If Schiavo's husband had Terri's best interest as a even a small concern, he'd have divorced her when he took up with another woman -- certainly when he fathered two babies. The people who care for Terri are the ones who have cared for her, loved her from birth -- and will love her to the end; her parents have shown who cares about her. Since Congress and the Senate blew it and ajourned...George Bush should step in and save this woman.
thats right, if micheal schaivo had and desent man hood about him, them he wouldnt have commited adultry and had children with another woman, behind his disabled wifes back, sex isnt about everything,marriage and life is also inportant.

i have a several disabled daughter, almost like terri and i would never starve her..
