Are You Politically Motivated?

Eric at Myopiczeal writes about the assertion that Terri Schiavo is being used politically to advance the "pro-life agenda".

Alta Charo, the Elizabeth S. Wilson - Bascom Professor of Law and Bioethics at the University of Wisconsin Law School, appears to hold the cynical view that conservatives want Terri Schiavo to live simply because it politically helps their abortion position.

Apparently it has not crossed her mind that maybe they want Terri to live because they actually hold the consistent view that innocent human life is morally sacred, regardless of the age or mental capacity of the person.
