I just registered a complaint about Woodside Hospice [and its care of Terri Schiavo], owned by Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, with the Inspector General at the Agency for Health Care Administration. Perhaps other people would care to do so as well: Complaint Form
Name: Woodside Hospice
Address: 6774 102nd Ave. North
Pinellas Park, FL
Contact: I put down the name of the head of Adminstration for Hospice of Florida Suncoast, which I found on their website: Sandy Lambis, 727 586 4432
Here's what I wrote: Terri Schiavo was admitted to hospice under false pretenses. Her attorney George Felos claimed she was terminally ill and she is not, which I believe is a violation of Medicaid regulations. She has been maintained at this facility for 5 years illegally when she should have been in a nursing home where she could receive rehabilitative care. Furthermore, sores on her body indicate she was not being turned in bed. Her guardian refused to have her teeth cleaned for 10 years and then had five of her teeth pulled. He refuses to have her wheelchair repaired and won't allow her to have visits from therapy animals even though she loves animals, He refuses to allow her to listen to music even though she responds to music. He won't allow any cards or flowers or family photos in her room and keeps the blinds drawn at all times. I understand that the guardian's attorney, was formerly chairman of the company that owns this hospice, Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, and furthermore that the presiding judge in the case, George Greer , is on the board of directors of this hospice facility, which would clearly be a flagrant conflict of interest. I urge you to investigate this facility.

Thanks for the information and pointer to the Complaint Form. I will send one, too, It is better for me to do something than sit here feeling helpless. thanks, S. Moore
I read:
"Every complaint is reviewed by the Office of the Inspector General. It is either investigated or sent to the appropriate office for handling. You will receive a written response from our office. The more specific information that you provide to us, the better we are able to assist you."
I filed a complaint, I think we all should! Clear conflict of interest, patient abuse and neglect including starvation, tampering with Congressional witness, etc.
During my many years as a Neurosurgeon often I was confronted with the problem of diagnosing IRREVERSIBLE BRAIN DAMAGE LESIONS,from many ethiologies.Selected doctors specialists such as Neurosurgeons, Neurologists, Intensivists, Neuroradilogists evaluating the clinical picture, plain brain scans, functional, mtabolic anangioMRIs etc., can determine the degreeof the irreversable brain damage. If there are not, any possibility of any quality of life left in a vegetative body is their duty to notify the family. Judges have the legal duty to recognize the guardian, executor and he or she have the prerrogative to accept the proper diagnosis froM THE specialists and let the body with the irreversile damaged brain have a natural death with out artificial measures or continue with a loss cause interfering with others life wastin time and resourses. No civil, religious, moral, Legislative etc., institutuions can make the proper diagnosis and be part of the resolution, In this case only the doctors and the executor can or SHOULD. Years ago a baby was born ANENCEPHALIC [with no or minimal brain tissue] and the catholic family let the baby died of naturel death after consulting with the Bishop who did not find any religios objections.
