Nurses who tended to Terri Schiavo -- the Florida woman whose feeding and water tubes may soon be removed -- have stated in affidavits provided by her family that the 41-year-old has exhibited clear-cut behavior indicating she is conscious and aware of her surroundings.
In stunning testimony, one nurse, Heidi Law, a certified nursing assistant who took care of Terri when she was at Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Largo, Florida, in 1997, said that the severely disabled woman formed words such as "mommy, "momma," and most hauntingly, "help me."
"While it is true that those patients will flinch or make sounds occasionally, they don't do it as a reaction to someone on a constant basis who is taking care of them, the way I saw Terri do," claimed Law in a formal deposition. "I witnessed a priest visiting Terri a couple of times. Terri would become quiet when he prayed with her. She couldn't bow her head because of her stiff neck, but she would still try. During the prayer, she would keep her eyes closed, opening them afterward. She laughed at jokes he told her. I definitely know that Terri 'is in there.'"
The testimony, contained in affidavits provided to Spirit Daily by her family, the Schindlers, who are desperately attempting to prevent her death, contradicts widespread perceptions that Terri is a nearly brain-dead or comatose woman living in a vegetative state. In fact, by some indications the woman may have greatly improved had she been provided adequate therapy.
"I have heard her say 'mommy' from time to time, and 'momma,' and she also said 'help me' a number of times. She would frequently make noises like she was trying to talk," said Law.

Why Cant You See that CNA Heidi Law (who's so called affadavit does not even have a Notary Public's name attached even though this document is supposedly a public document) has obviously not worked around people in a PVS state very often, if at all. She works in Hospice care where most people in PVS will never ever go. If she had, she would know that they will often scream out at various times, will holler "Mommy" and "Help Me" and other very familiar words. Nursing homes are full of people who do this. Ask any care-giver (who doesn't have an agenda about the Schiavo case) The "fact" that A DNR order was placed is also not very significant. People in a PVS are very often placed as a Do Not Resuscitate patient since this is using extraordinary means to prolong their life.
Why Cant You See that all the so-called evidence that the parents are fostering on the public does not stand up to intense scrutiny? Do you people just believe them because you have been paid to do so? Are you in the conspiracy? In one article you lament the fact that big governement is interfering in peoples lives and harrassing them and their children and now in the Schiavo case you are asking big government TO interfere with Michael Schiavo's legally given right, (that is also stated in the Bible, as A woman who marries shall give up her own family and Cleave to her husband).
Why Cant You See that the videos that the Schindlers claim prove that Terri is following them and responding to them prove just the opposite. The doctor with the Balloons, he even says "Oh, No, Terri, Not there, look over here". And her eyes wander back and forth, never focusing on the balloons. They also zoom in on terri's face so We cannot even see the Ballons and where they are, BUT her eyes continue to move all over the screen, NOT FOCUSING!
Why Cant You See where the money trail really is? That the Schindlers are being represented by big name attorneys who have a definite agenda.
Why Cant You See that the Schindlers are responsible for Michael having to use money intended for Terri's care on legal fees fighting their frivolous law suits?
Why Can't You See that the Schindlers said in State Court that they would FORCE measures upon Terri to extend her life EVEN IF SHE HAD A LIVING WILL, AGAINST HER WISHES?
WHY CANT YOU SEE?
