H.J. Res. 4: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States with respect to the right to life. - Stacy Harp, Media Soul
No unborn person shall be deprived of life by any person: Provided, however, That nothing in this article shall prohibit a law permitting only those medical procedures required to prevent the death of the mother of an unborn person: Provided further, That nothing in this article shall limit the liberty of a mother with respect to the unborn offspring of the mother conceived as a result of rape or incest.I do agree with Stacy that the last sentence of the amendment is off. "Rape and incest is never a reason to kill a preborn baby."

I never understoof the inclusion of incest in that list, aside of the emotion punch it carries. Incest is either consensual or it is rape. It it is consensual (while wrong), why should that allow abortion? If it's incestuous rape, it's rape.
Either way it is a horrible act. My point is that the children should not be punished (murdered) for the sins of one of their parents.
Even if passed, and all the demands of pro-lifers are met, the incentive to commit abortion will still come true.
I'm trying to get the ball rolling for a real, long-term way to stop abortion: The Maternal Lien
There is a good chance that the pro life lobby will succeed with the proposed "Right to Life Amendment". No doubt, that will criminalise abortions overnight. Not only will abortions be outlawed but also hormonal contraceptives, IUDs and ECs since they interfere with fertilization and implantation of the fertilized egg. If the fertilized egg is given the status of a person, then, logically any action that prevents it's development would constitute murder. I have been using the pill and IUD for nearly three decades, doesn't that make me a serial killer?
In order to cultivate a culture of life, the pro life Taliban would have to gain access to all women's records in order to investigate who is using pills and IUDs. Would that mean that i could have my IUD forcibly removed?
Will there be a priest in every bedroom to ensure that hubby doesn't pull it out just in time?
Will there be mandatory pregnancy testing of all women just like in Rumania during Ceausescu's pro life regime?
In Poland, abortion has been banned since 1993 and contraception is difficult to obtain. Yet the birth rate in that country is a mere 1.3 - lower than that of China!
Doesn't that tell us something?
