A reader pointed me to this article in the National Ledger by L.A. Morris. He notes right away that popular blogs in the blogosphere seem to have forgotten or overlooked the danger to Terri Schiavo. As early as Feb. 22, her husband may have the legal right to starve her to death.
Well, the day of reckoning is at hand. You wouldnt know it from scanning the mainstream media, digging through internet news, or even perusing the more popular blogs. But that fateful day has arrived nonetheless, my friends, and every single one of us better sit up and take notice.Morris missed our own La Shawn Barber who is a leading blogger (among the very best in my opinion) and a vocal Terri Schiavo advocate. He also missed David Limbaugh who posted this message.
Nevertheless, he is right about most of the bloggers who have the highest traffic ratings. I'm not concerned. We are close to 100 strong and growing rapidly. Our traffic and readership is highly distributed and Terri's Bloggers are making an impact. However, it might be a good idea to send our friends at the top a few invitations to join TERRI's swarm.
Update: I noticed that Joe Carter (Evangelical Outpost), a top blogger and favorate of mine, also recently posted on Terri and BlogsForBush's Mark Noonan picked up the story.

I have posted a sample letter to the editor on my site that can also be used to send to government officials. Would you mind posting about it? I want to get the word out so we can inundate newspapers across the country with the truth about Terri. Thanks!
Maybe we can rescue Terri if we take away the husband's two excuses: greed and fear of prosecution.
Lots of people would donate $50 or $100 to a fund to buy his interest in the million dollars he would inherit if she dies. We could also petition Jeb Bush to grant him immunity from prosecution if it turns out that the husband inflicted the wounds that caused Terri's problems.
Maybe the BIG blogs could run with these ideas!
Hmmm, interesting. The Schindler family has already offered to sign away any interest they/Terri have in Terri's estate and not to pursue legal action against him. I'm not very comfortable with paying him to let Terri live or granting immunity IF he is guilty.
