"I just can’t stop the bleeding. I can’t see what I’m doing and I want her out of here," – abortionist Martin Ruddock told a 911 operator during a "complication" that occurred during an abortion procedure performed on a 30-year-old woman.
Hugh Gaughan played the tape of the 911 call outside a Cleveland abortion clinic with the desire that "it would help educate women entering the clinic as to the life-threatening dangers inherently associated with abortion." He was arrested and silenced, fearing further reprisals from the authorities. The Alliance Defense Fund is now representing him in a lawsuit alleging his religious liberty and free speech were "suppressed".
Whether or not you agree with Gaughan’s creative method of educating, Jim Pfaff of Opinion Times has an interesting take. First, abortion is an obvious disregard for the life of the unborn. Ruddock, in his statement above, appears to have "a sterile disregard for the safety of the woman having the abortion and would rather see the problem removed from his premises." Jim writes, "[I] see the logical conclusion of killing innocent babies in the womb to be to be a selfish disregard for the life and needs of others (e.g. the Terry Shaivo situation)."
